What is the Diagnostic Metric Report?

The Diagnostic Metric Report utilizes a quantitative approach to evaluating development risk. A report can be tailored for each technology.

The health of the technology is analyzed in three basic, interdependent directions:

• The Technology Readiness Index yields a quantitative assessment of the maturity of a particular technology. This metric provides consistent comparisons of technology maturity between different types of technology.

• The Technology Application Index indicates the range of applications for a particular technology. It provides a systematic way to evaluate a technology's number of potential applications.

• The Technology Risk Factor evaluates the competitive risk associated with a particular technology.

The metric for each direction---readiness, application, and risk---can be used as guidelines for internal decision making. When combined, they determine the technology's Coefficient of Development (CD). The CD can be used to evaluate technologies on a stand alone basis or enable the ranking of technologies within any given portfolio.

Diagnostic Metric Reports have been prepared for corporations, venture capital, private research and federal agencies. We would be pleased to address your specific requirements in a complimentary consultation.
